Billing units
- We use the Standard Page (NS) as the standard billing unit for a translation.
- For translations where this unit is not entirely suitable, we determine a charge per word.
Our customer has the opportunity to choose how the price is determined.
Whenever you require, we will offer you the requested billing alternatives in the quote.
Because of the chance to recalculate unit sums, you'll always have an opportunity to check the price.
The most frequently used billing units are:
- Standard Page (SP - standard page) - 1,800 strokes (according to MS Word - 1,800 characters and spaces).
- Word - character or succession of characters divided by spaces. This unit is most often used when processing a translation using CAT.
- Physical page - one document page intended for translation or other treatment irrespective of the quantity of text. This unit is used particularly with legally verified translations and graphic treatments.
- Character - letter, number or any other visual representation of a concept or thought. As a rule, we charge for oriental languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, etc. per character.
